The Rooftop Patio

Our Rooftop Lanai is the perfect setting for gatherings to celebrate your event among expansive ocean views. Open yet private, beautifully furnished and convenient to guest rooms and suites. Amazing whale watching in season!


Tropical garden patio

Nestled into the middle of Kohea Kai Resort is our tropical garden. This space features patio seating that can be arranged to accommodate whatever type of event you are planning. Lush and inviting, open and airy, the garden is the perfect space for gatherings. The garden is convenient to all resort amenities including gas grills, restroom facilities, the Kohea Kai Bistro, parking access and more.

Makawao Third Friday Town Party
February 17 @ 6:00pm – 9:00pm Recurring Event every third Friday.
Every third Friday, Baldwin Ave & Makawao Ave host a local street fair with music, food, art and live entertainment in the evening.

Maui Humane Society Paddle for Pets
Support the Maui Humane Society while enjoying a morning on the water. The Maui Humane Society, in conjunction with Kihei Canoe Club, is hosting a one-hour whale watch canoe ride fundraiser on Saturday February 18. All proceeds benefit Maui’s shelter animals. www.mauihumanesociety.org

Grow Some Good’s 5th Annual Taste of School Gardens event to support our growing school gardens and education programs. Taste for yourself? Enjoy dishes from Maui’s premier chefs made with local produce from our school gardens, along with fine wines, local brews and live music by Shea Derrick.

6th Annual Maui 5K
March 5 @ 7:00am – 9:30am
There will be a timed 5K race and a fun, untimed 1 Mile Run/Walk for Keiki and adults. Proceeds from the event will be distributed back to the participating schools to be used to enhance or improve the school’s physical fitness, play and athletic programs. http://www.maui5k.org
